Job summary

The Stover Group is seeking an Operations Specialist to perform daily tasks to operate and maintain wastewater facilities and processes. This night-shift, full-time role requires a High School Diploma (or GED) and provides opportunities to use mechanical tools and monitor equipment.

You will inspect equipment, maintain facilities, perform routine tests, and collaborate with colleagues across shifts to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or six months related experience and/or a combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of H2S safety and basic math concepts
• Ability to read, understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Attention to detail and good judgment in daily operations
• Basic communication skills and teamwork
• Ability to operate basic office equipment and tools
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Use common hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, grease guns, and pipe wrenches
• Inspect equipment and monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges to prevent downtime
• Maintain clean work areas, tools, equipment, and facilities
• Perform routine minimum control tests
• Assist with facility maintenance
• Perform general housekeeping and cleaning of all related facilities
• Maintain working relationships with all employees
• Record data and information in operator logbooks and during shift changes
• Perform other duties as required
• Complete tasks in a timely manner
