Job summary

Perdue Foods, part of Perdue Farms, Inc., is hiring for a Wastewater Offal Operator. You will support critical wastewater and offal processes, operate and maintain equipment, and help prevent spills to keep the facility running cleanly and safely. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced poultry processing environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean shakers and tumblers by spraying a high-pressure hose (240 psi) on the shaker every 15 minutes and the tumbler once an hour.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance and equipment lubrication by checking oil levels and belts as needed.
• Transfer blood onto tankers by taking a 6' hose 4" in diameter and placing it into blood tank, open wheel valve and visually monitor levels.
• Cover loads prior to removal from work area.
• Obtain ladder and by turning crank clockwise to extend canvas cover.
• Notify drivers by phone when bi-product loads are full and need to be removed.
