Job summary

Midwest Refrigerated Services, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor - 2nd shift in Belvidere, IL. The role manages day or night warehouse teams, ensuring safety, sanitation, and customer service.

Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 per year, with full benefits and a path for career growth within a family-run company. The candidate will supervise shipping office personnel, enforce SOPs, resolve issues with customers and carriers, and participate in hiring decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Prior leadership experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Familiarity with RF-controlled inventory systems.
• Experience handling food products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to warehouse staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
• Address and resolve issues involving customers, carriers, and drivers.
• Manage Over, Short, and Damaged (OS&D) claims.
• Maintain accurate documentation for accessorial charges.
• Oversee employee performance and administer disciplinary actions.
• Monitor operations to align with benchmarking standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
• Participate in hiring and staffing decisions.
• Attend meetings and training outside regular hours.
