Job summary

Plastipak Packaging is seeking a Shipping Clerk to manage all aspects of the shipping and receiving office, including forklift loading/unloading and documentation for shipments. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Team oriented attitude and strong communication.
• Flexibility with job assignments and duties.
• Self-motivated with ability to work overtime as needed.
• Forklift experience is required (minimum 1 year).
• Able to lift at least 25 lbs regularly.
• Stand or sit for long periods, up to 12 hours.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with basic systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Safety, Quality, SOPs, and GMPs.
• Coordinate loading and ensure documentation for outbound/inbound shipments and shuttles.
• Housekeeping of office and warehouse areas.
• Operate forklift to load/unload trailers.
• Use RF scanning device to scan goods and maintain inventory.
• Instruct shuttle drivers and manage pool of trailers.
• Monitor product availability and coordinate loads with manufacturing warehouse.
• Report food safety issues to the appropriate authority.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
