Job summary

C-P Flexible Packaging in York, PA is hiring a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 8am–4pm). You will coordinate outbound shipments, schedule carrier pickups, and serve as the warehouse liaison for the Customer Support group.

Candidates should have knowledge of shipping/receiving, basic computer skills, and forklift experience. The role offers a friendly, safe environment with merit increases and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of shipping, receiving, & warehouse operations.
• Basic computer knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook, ERP software.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Good communications skills.
• Must be able to work well under sometimes stressful work conditions.
• Prior forklift experience required.
• Knowledge of warehousing and bar-coding systems is a plus.
• Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Expedite material needed for shipment with the production plant as needed.
• Schedule outbound carrier pickups as needed.
• Serve as the warehouse point of contact for the Customer Support group.
• Schedule inbound carrier delivery appointments with use of Outlook calendar.
• Enter raw material film receipts & label printing for inbounds via ASN.
• Enter stock movements relating to film released and moving plant to plant.
• Maintain all company equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Assist others with safe loading/unloading and storage of materials.
• Operate dock handling equipment as needed.
• Ensure maintenance of vehicles/trailers and equipment is in safe condition.

Job Functions & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Expedite material needed for shipment with the production plant as needed.

• Entry of raw material film receipts & label printing
  • for inbounds via ASN notification & ‘direct’ delivery to the warehouse
• Entry of stock movements relating to film released and moving from plant to plant
• Maintains all Company equipment to ensure safe, efficient and trouble-free condition
• Assists other employees in all buildings with the safe loading/ unloading, movement and storage of raw, WIP and finished materials.
• Ability to operate dock handling equipment (stand -up lifts, sit down lifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Ensures maintenance of vehicles, trailers and associated equipment is being performed and that all equipment is kept in safe operating condition.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Physical Demands

• Intermittent walking between warehouse & production facilities
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of times. (consistently)

• Must be willing to load/ unload material into and out of trailers/ trucks or other vehicles.
