Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Laurel, MD is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Night Shift to ensure accurate outbound orders and proper documentation. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory integrity and safety on the ship dock.

This full-time, on-site role operates Monday–Friday, 7:00pm–4:00am, with compensation starting at $24.00–$25.00 per hour depending on experience. Excellent teamwork and attention to detail help us meet customer deadlines and uphold our 1892 legacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Prior shipping, warehouse, or fulfillment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and standard computer tools (Excel, Word, email) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Outbound orders leave the dock accurately with complete documentation.
• Conduct a final physical check on staged orders to catch discrepancies.
• Generate and verify shipping documents; maintain accurate outbound records.
• Flag documentation errors or system discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
• Return mis-picks and damaged product to proper locations; report recurring issues.
• Operate shipping equipment safely and keep the area organized and hazard-free.
