Job summary

Vistar, America's leading candy, snack, and beverage distributor, is hiring a full-time 2nd shift warehouse associate in Windsor, CT.

You will select cases from multi-level racks, load pallets, and operate an electric pallet jack to prepare orders for shipment, while following safety and quality standards.

Benefits start on day one with health coverage, a 401(k) match, and incentive pay; compensation is $22–$24 per hour plus differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• 6-12 months of electric pallet jack experience.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures; keep work area safe and report hazards.
• Perform safety checks on pallet jack/forklift and ensure PPE is worn.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location.
• Locate products on pallets and move along multi-level racks.
• Place stock items on pallet from pick slots and load as directed.
• Transport completed orders to shipping dock; shrink-wrap if required.
