Job summary

IKEA is seeking a warehouse associate to support DC operations in Perryville by handling picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storage with a customer-first mindset.

You will unload goods, secure merchandise for safe movement through the distribution centre, and contribute to daily/seasonal planning while supporting additional tasks as needed. The role is full-time with evening hours and a starting pay of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken.
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing of the goods.
• Effectively unload and handle inbound/outbound goods. Secure merchandise properly to allow for safe movement through the distribution centre.
• Contribute to the overall warehouse operations goals setting, drive the implementation of local business plans/projects and analyse existing workload to secure daily volume handling and meet seasonal fluctuation needs.
• Remove and properly document all damages found or caused on inbound/outbound merchandise.
• Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects assigned, where applicable.
