Job summary

Daniels Health in Walton, KY is seeking a Plant Operator for our medical waste treatment facility. The role involves inspecting containers, weighing incoming waste, operating an autoclave, loading a Washsmart system, and handling paperwork, with a 3rd shift schedule Sunday to Thursday 9:30 PM–6:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifting of 50lbs to 75lb containers)
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE
• Proven longevity with employers
• Can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Lifting 55lbs bins and pushing a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate autoclave machine
• Load the Washsmart system
• Accurate paperwork for container processing
• Stand for extended periods while working in PPE
• Collaborate effectively with team
