Job summary

Daniels Health in Walton, KY is seeking a Plant Operator for our medical waste treatment facility. The role involves loading autoclave materials, weighing containers, and handling heavy waste with a forklift, while following strict paperwork procedures and PPE requirements.

This is a DIRECT HIRE, full-time position offering benefits from day one and a stable night-shift schedule (3rd shift, 9:30 PM–6:00 AM).

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse labor-intensive role with heavy lifting.
• Willingness to pass a 5-panel urine drug screen.
• Willingness to undergo a 7-year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work in PPE.
• Proven longevity with past employers.
• Positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lift 55 lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate autoclave machine.
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for container processing.
• Stand for extended periods and work well with a team.
