Job summary

Daniels Health in Walton, KY is hiring a Plant Operator for our medical waste treatment facility. You will lift heavy containers, weigh materials, operate an autoclave and the WashSmart system, and handle paperwork with care. This is a full-time, direct-hire role with Monday–Friday second shift and benefits from day one.

You’ll work with a team, wear PPE, and maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifting of 50lbs to 75lb containers).
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening.
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE.
• Proven longevity with employers.
• Can-do attitude!!

Responsibilities

• Lifting 55lbs bins and pushing a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate an autoclave machine for material processing.
• Load the WashSmart system for container washing and sanitization.
• Provide attention to detail with required paperwork.
• Stand for extended periods and work well in PPE.
• Collaborate effectively with the team.

We are looking to hire an operator for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Walton, KY. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

What will your job involve?

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!
