Job summary

Allied Beverage Group, L.L.C. in Elizabeth, NJ seeks an Assistant Manager to lead night operations in a large wine and spirits distribution facility.

You will supervise shipping, receiving and inventory control, drive productivity, and ensure outstanding customer service from warehouse to customers. The role requires strong leadership, warehouse operations knowledge, and experience with lean improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree ( Logistics management, Mechanical engineer, or Business Management )
• 5-7 years of supervision level experience within a distribution warehouse
• Operational supervision experience
• Distribution of product experience
• Preferred warehouse automation experience
• Functional system understanding in WMS, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint; strong communication skills
• Ability to work non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights and weekends only when required

Responsibilities

• Identify and plan staffing requirements based on warehousing and distribution operations insights.
• Make decisions based on experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control.
• Ensure procedures and processes match operation requirements.
• Train and implement new technology and processes while maintaining productivity.
• Collaborate with management to improve fill rate, throughput and cost.
