Job summary

Allied Beverage Group, New Jersey’s largest wine and spirits distributor, seeks an Assistant Manager to lead night operations, drive customer service, and improve productivity in a Direct Sales warehouse environment.

The role requires 5–7 years of supervisory experience in distribution, knowledge of warehouse operations, and experience with warehouse automation or related tech. Candidates should be willing to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management.
• 5–7 years of supervision experience in a distribution warehouse.
• Operational supervision experience in warehousing.
• Experience distributing product.
• Preferred warehouse automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of WMS and MS Office tools (Excel/PowerPoint).
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Plan staffing based on warehousing and distribution operations.
• Decide on staffing and process improvements using experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control.
• Ensure procedures match operation requirements and train on new tech and processes to maintain productivity.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures with metrics for continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma).
• Collaborate with Night and Day operation manager, delivery and maintenance to improve fill rate, throughput, and cost.
• Lead safety programs and ensure compliance with regulations.
