Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana to support automated systems in our fast-paced distribution environment. This role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement of equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification or 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment preferred.
• Working knowledge of maintenance software and inventory systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC/HMI programs and add form/function to an established program.
• Experience with vision systems and servo/stepper motor troubleshooting.
• Understanding of 24VDC control systems and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and safely at heights.

Responsibilities

• Ensure PM entries into software are complete and accurate.
• Utilize maintenance management systems to stay organized and communicate with plant and corporate management.
• Maintain spare parts inventories and align with procedures.
• Contribute to maintenance policies and SOP improvements.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and tour-ready; comply with GMPs.
• Establish work schedules that meet PM and operating demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
