Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Lead Warehouse Worker in Princeton, Indiana to lead a team of warehouse associates, ensure safety and productivity, and collaborate with Supervisors to meet performance goals.

The role requires 4 years of warehouse experience, supervisory experience preferred, and forklift certification. Overtime and non-climate controlled conditions apply. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 4 years of warehouse experience required.
• 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior forklift certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software required.
• Flexible to work overtime preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational goals while championing safety and productivity.
• Executes assignments, provides status updates, & project visibility to Operations Supervisor(s).
• Operate forklifts, counterbalance, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed.
• Stage and sort products; loads and unloads trailers.
• Stack totes, and/or pallets; move materials within the warehouse.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Quality control; ensure damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received.
• Complete daily logs and communicate with associates from other shifts or departments.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
• Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be loaded/unloaded.
• Uses computer to enter data and maintains inventory records as needed.
• Opens and closes dock doors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
