Job summary

The eAcute Virtual Med-Surg nurse is a pivotal member of the healthcare team to assist with managing the care of adult or geriatric patients. The virtual nurse supports bedside RNs with admissions, discharges, education, and care coordination from the Virtual Care Command Center at Cox South.

Responsibilities include care plan development, patient education, real-time quality monitoring, and collaboration with virtual physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and the Early Intervention

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active Missouri RN license.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• Experience in nursing or healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions and discharges.
• Support care plan development and maintenance.
• Provide patient education.
• Collaborate with virtual physicians and other disciplines.
• Mentor new nurses and participate in quality and safety surveillance.
