Job summary

Wayne Farms in Palestine, TX is seeking a production worker to cover in the deboning area when staff are absent. You will set up lines, handle knives, and mentor teammates while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

This role requires nighttime availability–9:00pm to 5:30am–with on-the-job training and benefits from day one. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform one or more functions of the deboning process.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Independently fills in and performs work while regular worker absent from workstation.
• Distributes knives prior to shift start, swaps out knives during shift and collects knives at end of shift.
• Sets up assigned lines with stands and ice.
• Trains/cross-trains incoming or current workers on new skills as needed.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work area around assigned line.
