Job summary

Nestlé Purina’s Batavia Township facility is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Technician to maintain mechanical utilities systems on a 2-2-3 schedule after training, including nights 6 p.m.–6 a.m. You will troubleshoot, repair and optimize critical utilities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Starting pay is $37.50/hr with a progression plan up to $41.78/hr.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical utilities systems and equipment in manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment.
• Current High Pressure Boiler Operator License or Stationary Engineer License from Ohio is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and optimize utilities systems and related mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Monitor, maintain and repair compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, domestic water, hot water, refrigeration and fire systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance to prevent failures and promote safe operations.
• Utilize CMMS, diagrams, schematics and diagnostic tools to reduce unplanned stoppages and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems.
• Perform basic rigging, mechanical practices, pipefitting and welding in an industrial environment.
• Model safety and share utilities expertise to train others.
