Job summary

Nestlé Purina is hiring a Maintenance Technician at our Batavia Township, OH facility, located about 30 miles east of Cincinnati. You will perform proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting and optimizing production equipment. Training leads to a 2-2-3 nights schedule after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience maintaining complex mechanical equipment in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems.
• Model safety and share mechanical and electrical expertise to train other team members and champion a safety-first work environment.
• Execute Planned Maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and equipment including motors, conveyors, bearings, gears, sprockets, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics and automation systems.
• Work to reduce unplanned stoppages through effective root cause analysis.
• Utilize mechanical and electrical tools, diagnostic instruments (meters), mechanical diagrams and schematics, CMMS and other digital tools to work safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic rigging, mechanical practicesand welding skills in an industrial environment.
