Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America is hiring a Boiler Operator (Utilities Maintenance Technician) in Batavia, OH. You will perform proactive and reactive maintenance on essential utilities systems, troubleshoot issues, and work with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to keep assets running efficiently.

The role begins with a Monday–Friday day shift during training, then transitions to 4x10-hour days, followed by nights on a 2‑2‑3 schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance/troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• 1,000 hours toward Ohio boiler/stationary engineer licensure.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and optimize utilities systems and related equipment.
• Monitor, maintain and repair compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, water systems, refrigeration, and fire systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance to minimize failures and promote safe operations.
• Use CMMS and diagnostic tools to reduce unplanned stoppages and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with team to maintain equipment and solve problems.
• Perform basic rigging, pipefitting and welding in an industrial setting.
• Share utilities expertise to train other team members.
