Job summary

Asante is seeking a Unit Secretary for night coverage in Medford, Oregon. This 0.6 FTE part-time role supports a nursing unit with clerical, receptionist, and administrative tasks, acting as a key liaison for patients, families, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.

Responsibilities include order entry, chart preparation for admissions and transfers, and transcription of physicians’ orders under RN supervision, along with strong computer use and excellent communication with staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Clerical experience with knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
• Proficient computer skills and aptitude with various software applications.
• Strong communication abilities with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks such as order entry and chart preparation for admissions, transfers and surgeries.
• Assist with documentation and records management for the nursing unit.
• Facilitate information flow and transcription of physicians’ orders under RN supervision.
• Support patient safety, comfort and satisfaction through efficient clerical support.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure accurate and timely communications.
