Job summary

The Asante CNA/Unit Secretary supports nursing units by handling clerical and receptionist duties, coordinating communications, and transcribing physician orders under an RN. This role contributes to smooth unit flow and patient comfort while upholding our care standards.

Working 1st shift days, the part-time 0.6 FTE position requires CNA certification in Oregon and BLS, with lifting up to 50 pounds and a focus on patient safety, satisfaction, and teamwork within the Asante values.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology gained through education or healthcare experience.
• Previous CNA and/or clerical experience required.
• CNA certification by OSBN required at start.
• BLS certification by AHA required at start.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical, receptionist, and administrative support for the nursing unit.
• Facilitate workflow and transcription of physician orders under supervision of an RN.
• Promote patient safety and patient satisfaction.
• Demonstrate advanced Responsive Observations knowledge base in the care.
• Provide excellent communication between staff and patients.
• Promote and maintain Asante’s Vision and Values.
