Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than 1 year clinical experience in acute care preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in stressful and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and receptionist support on nursing unit.
• Enter information into electronic medical records; verify data and charting.
• Maintain unit supplies and transport supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Assist in patient admission, transfer and discharge as appropriate.
• Care for patients and families with compassion and professionalism.
• Act as central communication source on the unit and support nursing staff.
