Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a unit clerk/healthcare assistant to work a 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shift under the direction of a licensed nurse. The role requires basic clinical duties, EKG-like competencies, and strong documentation skills within the unit’s electronic medical record system.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of related clinical experience and hold AHA BLS Healthcare Professional certification.

Qualifications

• 6 months of related clinical experience.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to deliver quality patient care under a licensed nurse directing.
• Functions as unit communications coordinator and manages medical records data entry and documentation.
• Supports resource management for equipment, supplies and department resources.
• Under supervision, performs at least one higher level competency (e.g., EKG, Lift Team, OB Tech, Orthopedic Tech).
