Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Unit Clerical Associate on the General Neuro EMU PCU night shift at University Hospital (15 North). The UCA coordinates and gathers all documentation related to the patient chart and provides clerical support under the supervision of the Registered Nurse on the unit.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and strong customer service, organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; Previous patient care experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred; Strong customer service, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/gather all documentation related to the patient chart.
• Provide clerical support under the direction of the Registered Nurse and collaborate with care team.
• Process orders, verify forms for accuracy and completeness.
• Disseminate information on the unit to care team and patients.
