Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties as assigned by the nurse or physician.
• Transcribes physicians' orders and maintains chart records and other files.
• Answers phones and routes calls to the appropriate parties.
• Maintains and stocks unit supply items and ensures equipment is in operating condition.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures and supports department manager with clerical tasks.
• Duties apply to Adult, Adolescent, Geriatric and Pediatric units.
