Job summary

Allied Universal, Lincoln, NE, is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Patrol to protect a healthcare facility and its staff. You will provide patient, visitor, and staff services while patrolling and monitoring access points, reporting incidents, and following site procedures.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $22.36 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and comfort using computers; prior access-control or alarm-panel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear documentation of incidents, patrols, observations, and interactions in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
