Job summary

Allied Universal in Durham, NC seeks an Unarmed Security Officer for Patrol Operations at a healthcare location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, support access control, and provide customer service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly, following established response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
