Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for our Santa Clara, CA location. This full-time, unarmed driver patrol role focuses on safeguarding employees, visitors, and assets at a tech-focused site.

You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and document activities. A valid driver’s license and security experience are required, with CPR/First Aid preferred. Competitive wages and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing guests and deliveries to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately in required reports and logs.
