Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Alignment Mechanic to join our Gas Services team. You will perform turbine assembly, alignment, blading, seal installation/removal, welding and fabrication, ensuring components meet specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating material handling equipment and overhead cranes, reading blueprints and drawings, and using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in turbine assembly, alignment, sealing and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs and charts.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances.
• Experience operating manual machine tools such as lathes and Bridgeport mills.
• Proficiency with computers to access and review manufacturing data.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform turbine assembly, alignment, blading, seal installation/removal, welding, fabrication, and component adjustments.
• Operate material handling equipment and cranes for movement and lifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Use computers to retrieve, record, and review product data and manufacturing information.
• Measure, calculate, and verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality with precision tools.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and clean manual machining equipment including deburring.
