Job summary

Penske Logistics in Reading, PA seeks a Lead Transportation Support Services Coordinator to provide day-to-day leadership, escalate issues, monitor workload, assign tasks, and train associates on the floor.

This role supports the TSS team, handles overflow customer issues for the Supervisor, and partners with management to ensure efficient transport operations and high service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience required.
• 1–2 years in call center or trucking industry experience required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to develop a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Intermediate computer literacy.
• Self-starter; able to act independently and make decisions.
• Strong sense of urgency.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance required.
• Willingness to travel; background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Acting as subject matter expert to TSS Associates on the floor and perform TSS duties if necessary.
• Assist in mentoring new and existing TSS Associates and ensure junior Associates are seated with senior Associates as necessary.
• Assist Management in monitoring calls, perform quality audits, and carry out special requirements
• Provide follow up to internal and external customer requests through email and by phone
• Assist Supervisor in managing TSS Associates' breaks, lunches, work assignments, etc.
• Other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor or manager
