Job summary
Republic Services in Houston is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, and HVAC components. This role supports drivers, maintains complex machinery, and offers a clear path for professional growth.
Shifts are 7pm-6am, Sunday-Thursday (Friday morning). Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement plans, PTO, and more.
Qualifications
- Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
- Understand work order labor time standards.
- Experience with maintenance on Class 1-8 vehicles or graduate from automotive college.
- ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
- Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, and braking systems.
- Perform light engine repair and maintenance.
- Work on suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Safely provide road service when needed.
- Complete company training programs.
