Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position at a Texas hospital, requiring fetal monitoring certification and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

The 13-week assignment runs from 7PM to 7AM and is full-time. Applicants must hold an active TX or compact RN license with BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring/EFM certifications, and reside within 50 miles of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or compact)
• BLS, ACLS (AHA) and NRP certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC EFM certification required
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or perinatal setting experience preferred
• Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have been separated for at least 6 months before starting a new travel assignment

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule 7PM–7AM
• 13-week assignment
• Full-time position
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients
• Address complex psychosocial needs of patients and families
• Administer meds and treatments, monitor side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
• New nurses orientation and Perinatal services competency within first 30 days
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility

Education

Active RN license (TX or compact)

BLS certification

ACLS certification

NRP certification

AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC EFM (C-EFM) certification

BSN preferred

Perinatal RN Residency or perinatal setting experience preferred
