American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Texas. The role requires labor management and cesarean circulation experience, along with advanced fetal monitoring and neonatal certifications.

The position includes 18-bed L&D, on-call duties, and potential float to Mother Baby. A strong team culture and patient-focused outcomes are emphasized for this assignment.

Qualifications

• Must hold active TX or compact RN license.
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Proficiency in labor management and circulating cesarean sections.
• Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCFM fetal monitoring certification.
• NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of assignment start.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted).
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit with 18 beds and approx. 54 staff.
• Night shift staffed with 1 charge/CNC, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB techs.
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for Pitocin, C-section delivery, and recovery patients.
• 2-3 antepartum patients per ratio, following AWHONN guidelines.
• Uses GE fetal monitoring equipment.
• Utilizes CPN Meditech EMR.
• On-call requirement of 1-2 shifts per schedule.
• May float to Mother Baby unit as a resource when needed.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Perform vaginal deliveries, C-sections, triage, and iron infusions.
