Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead a group of drivers and ensure safe, on-time deliveries using multi-stop routing and dispatch procedures. The role requires knowledge of DOT regulations and coordination with other distribution teams to maintain efficiency and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), 1 year in transportation management in food distribution, and experience with AS/400, truck routing software, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of transportation management experience in food distribution.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• AS/400 experience preferred.
• Truck routing software experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to read, write and understand English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries to customers using multi-stop routing and dispatch procedures.
• Review driver logs, hours of service and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate activities with distribution center departments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned at the supervisor's discretion.
