Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a seasoned Tool and Die Technician to ensure precision tooling and dies across production. You will lead troubleshooting, fabrication, and improvements within the toolroom and production environment.

The role requires strong experience with CNC/manual machining, grinding, welding, and interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T. You will mentor peers, support engineering initiatives, and drive safety and 5S practices on nights shift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tool and die maintenance, fabrication, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T specs to produce high-precision tooling.
• Proficiency in CNC and manual machining, precision grinding, welding, and assembly of complex dies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex tooling, molds, and dies to ensure production readiness.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance using PM/TPM systems.
• Fabricate parts using CNC/manual machining, grinding, and welding.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to produce high-precision tooling.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve tool designs and processes.
• Lead safety practices and uphold OSHA/5S standards.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices in troubleshooting and fabrication.
• Support root-cause analysis and cost-reduction initiatives.
