Job summary

SIMONA AMERICA Industries in Archbald, PA, seeks a Machine Operator to operate an extruder forming thermoplastic sheets (PP, PVC, PE). You will read orders, set up runs and monitor quality to ensure defect-free output.

The role requires basic math, reading ability, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment. Certification training for forklift, HazWOP, RCRA, DOT and crane operation is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to solve practical problems with minimal supervision and follow written/oral guidance.
• Experience with quality tools and documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand orders. Set up and run production.
• Apply knowledge of materials to ensure proper running of product.
• Adjust gauges, speeds and coordinate changeovers quickly.
• Use micrometers, calipers and other tools to adjust dies.
