Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Formal dysrhythmia course completed.
• 12-lead ECG competency demonstrated.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Clinical or patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous cardiac monitoring for patients of various ages.
• Prepare patients for monitoring with proper skin prep and electrode placement.
• Perform 12-lead ECGs and interpret rhythms for clinicians.
• Manage telemetry devices and replace transmitters as needed.
• Document findings on telemetry sheets during each shift.
• Maintain telemetry equipment inventory and organization.
• Circulate every two hours to verify patient monitoring status.
• Replenish monitoring supplies at shift end.
