Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and notify RNs of rhythm changes. This part-time role supports Telemetry Services and patient care on the inpatient units.

Responsibilities include monitor connection/discharge, patient preparation, and teaching related to the monitor; 20 hours per week, day shift, on-site in Jersey City, NJ.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Telemetry and/or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient cardiac monitors and notify RNs/clinicians of rhythm changes.
• Deliver telemetry to inpatient units and perform monitor connection/discharge.
• Prepare patients and provide teaching related to the monitor.
• Support Telemetry Services on-site during day shift (Part-Time, 20 hours).

Education
