Job summary

US1277 FreshPoint South Florida, Inc. is seeking an Operations technician to perform routine and high-level maintenance duties and assist with material handling equipment and facility repairs.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on equipment, diagnosing and repairing machinery, setup/breakdown of processing equipment, building maintenance, and safe operation in accordance with OSHA guidelines, with night shifts and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance/preventative equipment maintenance.
• Food Processing Equipment: Experience with Food Processing Equipment is a plus.
• Vacuum Packaging: Experience with RollStock and Repack machines is a plus.
• Possess the ability to learn various software programs associated with the facility.
• Possess strong technical, mechanical, and analytical skills.
• Possess the ability to interact and communicate with all staff and management in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and high-level maintenance on facility equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance per equipment manuals.
• Diagnose problems and repair machinery with appropriate parts.
• Set up and breakdown of food processing equipment as required.
• Maintain building systems and safety compliance.
• Perform maintenance on material handling equipment and battery watering services.
• Work night shifts and occasional weekends.
• Report unsafe conditions and complete other duties as assigned.
