Job summary

Meijer is seeking an experienced store leader in Ohio to plan, direct, and supervise team members across departments. You will mentor staff, drive sales, manage P&L, and ensure optimal customer service and store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas such as meat, bakery, produce and deli.
• Ability to communicate clear direction to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflict by addressing root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to analyze financial/statistical information for decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members across the organization.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes career paths and development, involved in promotions decisions.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and reducing shrink.
• Models fast, courteous and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches team to exceed goals and meet Meijer standards.
• Ensures team is thoroughly trained in all job aspects.
• Spends majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
