Job summary

Independent Software is seeking a System Administrator Level 1 for the Night Shift at Annapolis Junction, MD. You will support enterprise systems, apply patches, and monitor health and security to ensure availability and performance. The role requires DoD 8570 IAT Level I and active TS/SCI clearance.

You will work with IT teams across network, security, and applications, performing upgrades, documentation, and security controls while maintaining high reliability for mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with system administration and maintenance.
• Experience supporting servers, operating systems, applications, and enterprise IT environments.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Experience providing remote technical assistance and remote desktop support.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve system, application, and network-related problems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and maintain servers, operating systems, and key applications.
• Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes following change management.
• Perform routine system health checks and capacity planning.
• Diagnose and resolve system, application, and network-related issues.
• Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues from help desk.
