Job summary

Environmental Management Inc. is seeking a Sweep Truck Operator for overnight shifts in Plain City, OH. You will operate a commercial parking lot sweeper, manage an assigned route, complete inspections, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to safety standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Valid license and willingness to work nights and weekends are required, CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• CDL is not required but is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving, equipment operation, landscaping, street sweeping, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and moving equipment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Night time driving and work in low-light conditions are required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial sweeper truck on overnight shifts.
• Complete sweeping services for parking lots, curbs, and entrances.
• Follow routes and schedules, maximizing efficiency and service quality.
• Use GPS and mobile apps to document work and manage tasks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain route logs, fuel records, and work orders.
• Provide on‑job training and support to new drivers when assigned.
