Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the Labor and Delivery team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This full-time night-shift position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00pm to 7:00am.

The surgical technologist will assist the surgical team during procedures, maintain a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons, and help prepare the OR between cases.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
