Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Labor and Delivery team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This full-time night shift runs Monday through Friday, 7:00pm to 7:00am.

The role supports surgeries, maintaining a sterile environment, handing instruments to surgeons, and ensuring patient safety. Responsibilities include restocking and cleaning the OR between cases and collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and coordinate case progression.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Work with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and protect patient safety.
• Clean and restock the operating room between cases.

Between surgeries, the individual will clean and restock the operating room.
