Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in preparing the operating room and provide intraoperative support under RN supervision. The role includes scrubbing as second or third assistant, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold CST certification, maintain CPR/BLS, and complete required continuing education. Prior OR experience is preferred; full-time night shift position.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required and maintained continuing education.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required; NBSTSA or NCCT acceptable.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.
• Active CPR/BLS certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing the operating room and intraoperative care for patients.
• Scrubs in as second or third assistant under RN direction.
• Maintains sterile field and ensures supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.
• Counts sponges/sharps with RN prior to incision and before closure.
• Participates in post-operative cleanup and restocking of surgical area.
• Adheres to infection control, risk management and patient safety practices.
