The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist for Labor & Delivery on 100% night shifts (M-F, nights). The role supports surgical procedures and patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include preparing the surgical environment, maintaining asepsis, and assisting with equipment, implants and documentation.

Formación

• Satisfactory completion of a vocational or military course in surgical technology or certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Direct patient care experience in Labor & Delivery is preferred.
• Experience in a health care environment is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare surgical area and anticipate needs of the team.
• Maintain asepsis and communicate breaks in aseptic technique.
• Assist with equipment, instruments and implants as needed.
• Collaborate with peers and RN for patient care decisions.
