This leadership role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and serving as a clinical resource for staff, residents, families, and healthcare providers.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the day-to-day nursing activities during assigned shiftProvide leadership and support to LPNs, treatment nurses, and CNAsCoordinate and participate in resident care deliveryAdminister and oversee IV therapy and other skilled nursing servicesConduct resident rounds and monitor changes in conditionPerform skilled nursing assessments and interventions as neededRespond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate careCommunicate resident status updates to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team membersOversee admissions, transfers, and dischargesEnsure physician orders are implemented accurately and timelyMonitor clinical documentation for accuracy and complianceReview incident reports and ensure proper investigation and follow-upConduct audits of medication carts, medication rooms, and clinical documentationMonitor infection control practices and regulatory complianceParticipate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiativesCoach, mentor, and assist with the development of nursing staffAssist with staffing coordination and identifying staffing needsParticipate in employee orientation, ongoing education, and training programsQualificationsEducation & ExperienceGraduate of an accredited School of NursingBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferredMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care settingMinimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experienceExperience with electronic health records; PointClickCare (PCC) preferredLicenses & CertificationsCurrent, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in South CarolinaCurrent CPR certificationMust maintain all required continuing education requirementsMust remain in good standing with the South Carolina Board of NursingWe are an equal opportunity employer.
