TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking skilled workers to layout, install, assemble, and erect structural steel components in line with blueprints and industry standards. This role involves crane-assisted positioning, alignment checks, and welding or bolting as required to secure steel structures.

The candidate should be proficient with hand and power tools, understand specifications, and be able to work on busy construction sites with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with field experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Pass pre-employment drug, alcohol and background checks.

Responsabilités

• Reads specifications or blueprints to determine locations, quantities, or sizes of material required.
• Fabricates metal parts according to blueprints or instructions.
• Unloads and positions prefabricated steel units for hoisting using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment.
• Verifies alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, or levels.
• Cuts, bends, or welds steel pieces using torches, shears, or welding equipment.
• Moves structural steel members into final positions using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, or hand tools.
• Bolts structural-steel members in position for riveting, bolting, or welding.
• Assembles hoisting equipment or riggings to move heavy equipment or materials.
• Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; and determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed.
