Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership role based in Ohio. You will plan and supervise daily store operations, mentor staff, and drive sales while maintaining customer service standards.

The role emphasizes staffing decisions, development planning for team members, and enforcing disciplinary actions when needed. Strong communication and multi-tasking are essential to lead teams across busy periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store and customer service experience are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistics information and use it for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and identify development needs for the team.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Responsible for P&L, achieve sales and control shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Ensure team is trained in all job aspects and completed required training.
• Spend most time in-store interacting with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
